Training commences for the Moroccan Women's National Rugby League Team
Today, Sunday, July 4, 2021, the Women's National Rugby League team of Morocco commenced their training in Berrechid, in a closed training session in preparation for their next international confrontation. This was done as part of the preparations towards their two friendly matches which will be played next month.
The pre-selection of the players was done after a meeting held on Friday, 2nd July 2021.
In attendance of the meeting were Ms Yasmina Abdelsallem (President of the Moroccan Federation and Chairwoman of the Middle East and Africa Women's Working Group), Mr Nijab (Secretary General of the University and President of the Black Eagles Rugby Association) , Mr Rashad Al-Mustafa (media official and President of the Sports Federation Association ) and Sokinian Abdel Wahed( technical director of Lions Berrechid.)
The players were selected from clubs from the North, South And Centre of Morocco.
Speaking to Yasmina Abdelsallem, these were her comments
"Our expectations are focused on the work of our National Moroccan Rugby League team and also Africa. We are preparing our future National Team for the next MEA CUP 2022.
We are very late due to Covid 19, and our schedule has been turned upside down as we must follow the health instructions of our country.
She also added
We have a partnership with the Catalan Goddesses and our wish would be that our international exchanges serves as a platform for good training for our daughters.
So schedule will be revealed for upcoming International meetings, We will most certainly find a niche for the Countries which participate in the Couoe du Monde, not to win them but to make them a good opposition"
All these were made possible with the help of their newest partner, Zingra and the municipal council and the authorities of the city of Berrechid.
